All I can say
is it’s been a good day
I’m wearing my favorite sweater
lavender
with the white buttons
My stomach is full
with lentil soup
and strawberries
The kids are healthy
and making their way
I hear from friends
and former relatives
I have a soft clean bed
My parents are here at home content
There was dew in the grass this morning
like so many diamonds in the sun
And rain and thunder late in the day
